Arthouse Gallery’s Leah Fraser and Kendal Murray are among 45 finalists selected from a record number of entries for the 14th annual Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize. The finalists were chosen from 597 entries from around the globe, including Australia, Hong Kong, USA, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
The judging panel consisted of Carriageworks Director Lisa Havilah, former Director of Sotheby’s Australia, Justin Miller and philanthropist Gretel Packer, who together selected a diverse span of works all measuring 80 cm or less. This year, prize money has increased to a total of $19,000 across four categories: the Acquisitive award of $15,000; a Special Commendation award of $2,000; the Viewers' Choice award of $1,000; and the new Mayor's Award of $1,000.
