SEMI-FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR THE MORAN PRIZE

Founded by Doug & Greta Moran and family in 1988, the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize (DMNPP) is an annual prize that encourages both excellence and creativity in contemporary Australian portraiture. 30 finalists are selected for works that interpret the look and personality of a chosen sitter, either unknown or well known to be displayed at the Moran Prizes exhibition at Juniper Hall Paddington. Heidi Yardley and James Powditch have both been selected as semi-finalists for their portraits of Gareth Sansom and Andrew Frost respectively. Finalists for the prize are announced Wednesday 16 October and the winner selected Wednesday 30 October. Congratulations Heidi and James on being selected as semi-finalists. More here.
