The Course of Objects: the fine lines of inquiry

2014-05-10

The Desert Lies Waiting, 2012 stoneware ceramic with glaze 53 x 38 x 34 cm

A selection of Kate Dorrough's ceramic sculptures are currently on exhibition as part of 'The Course of Objects: the fine lines of inquiry', a group exhibition currently showing at Manly Art Gallery & Museum, in partnership with The Australian Ceramics Association.

The exhibition examines current Australian ceramics practice pursing particular lines of inquiry or embodying pertinent ideas. In the spirit of unravelling associations between objects and ideas, the curator and the artists consider the transient affinities between selected works to evoke connections, references, repetitions, echoes, resemblances, distilled moments, or the realm of metaphor.

Exhibition dates: 2 May - 8 June 2014
