    I’ve used the dove motif in many of my paintings to symbolise feelings around the attainment of peace and freedom, especially for those forced to flee their homes because of conflict or persecution. Home can sometimes be more of a situation than a location. It’s a place where we feel loved, safe and free: free to be ourselves, free from exclusion, and free to pursue our daily lives in peace and security supported by those we love and our communities.
