After choosing to spend the majority of my adult life living as an ex-pat, there isn’t just one location that I call home. Any kind of sanctuary or safety I feel stems from the freedom I have had to choose where I want to be and similar to Belinda Fox, is better conveyed by a collection of memories rather than a specific place.

I have collaged layers of paper fragments which were torn off the surface of previous works and collected over time. Symbolic of my collection of memories, they are delicately layered, and serve as a gentle reminder that although our memories of specific places we call home will all eventually fade, the feeling of those places will hopefully remain.
