Congratulations to Nicola Moss who has been announced as a finalist in the Redland Art Awards 2024.
The selected work ‘Plant dreams - Chrysalis’ depicts the transformative power of plants. Moss states - “As the world around us is constantly shaped and we learn more about how plants communicate with one another; I ask the question - If plants could dream, how would they transform the world around them? Would house plants dream of sinking their roots deep in a forest community. Or would they dream of fresh mountain air and sky views, with space to flourish. In Plant dreams – Chrysalis a walking tree surrounds itself with a cloak of green, a chrysalis with potential to transform material being. An acclaimed biennial contemporary painting prize, the exhibition of finalists will on display at Redland Art Gallery from Sunday 8 December to Tuesday 28 January 2025.
