Sydney based artist Michael Muir has been announced as a finalist in the Korea Australian Art Prize (KAAF) for 2025.
The selected work 'Mountain Side' draws on Muir's fascination in the underlying echoes of solitude found in the suburban landscape and the co-existing joie de vivre which he brings to the surface with his sun drenched colour palette recalling Australian nostalgia.
The KAAF is a not-for-profit organisation established to support and enhance relationships between Australia and South Korea through cultural liaison. The KAAF Art Prize is one of the most anticipated art prizes in the industry with the exhibition of finalists an exciting event.
The exhibition of finalists will be on display at the Korean Cultural Centre Gallery, Sydney from 21 November 2025 - 16 January 2026
