Sydney based artist Kate Dorrough is featured in an upcoming group exhibition at Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
'Land — Artists on the Land of Three Rivers' is a new show exploring the atmosphere of place specifically the river systems at Cowra. Alongside Dorrough, Elisabeth Cummings, Sophie Cape, David Collins, Charmaine Pike, Sally Strokes, Belinda Street, Leah Thiessen and Ana Young are presenting work that follows from their residency in mid 2025 with The Corridor Project on Wiradjuri Country. The exhibition emerges from direct, embodied experience tracing geology, weather, memory, and cultural histories through abstraction and material experimentation. Collectively, the works extend contemporary Australian landscape painting through engaged, site-responsive practice.
'Land — Artists on the Land of Three Rivers' opens on Friday 6 February and continues until the 8 March 2026.
