Coen based painter, photographer and ceramicist Naomi Hobson has been announced as a finalist in the ACAR Art Prize.
Celebrating interpretations of landscape, the award honours artistic excellence and those who are advocates for Australia-China cultural exchange. Open to both Australian and Chinese artists, the winners of the prize will travel to each other's respective home (China or Australia) to participate in a residency of exchange and learning.
Judged by Dr. Kristen Sharp, Professor Shao Yiyang and John McDonald, Hobson joins a list of acclaimed artists who will exhibit their works in an exhibition will take place early this year with dates to be confirmed.
