Fabrizio Biviano opens major solo exhibition 'Colourful Language'

Noosa Regional Gllery

Fabrizio Biviano has opened a major solo exhibition 'Colourful Language' at Noosa Regional Gallery.

Colourful Language presents a series of paintings, each depicting a single tube of Langridge oil paint a locally sourced brand that reflects the materials that I use in the studio. Rendered in black and white against muted, pared back grey backgrounds, I produced fifty works. Each tube exhibits clear signs of use: wrinkles, dents, scrapes, and paint seepage at the edges. These physical traces highlight the tube as a finite object, one that embodies both potential and depletion. In this way, the work gestures toward the vanitas tradition, while reimagining it through the material presence of the artist’s own tools. - Fabrizio Biviano

In some exciting news, Biviano will also be hosting a workshop at Noosa Regional Gallery on Saturday 18 July from 9.30 -12.30pm. Learn how light reveals form in this still life painting workshop with this highly acclaimed artist. Bookings are essential.

‘Colourful Language’ continues at Noosa Regional Gallery until 13 September. Don’t miss it!
