Samantha Everton announced as a winner in multiple prizes for her series 'Thirteen'

PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris & Beautiful Bizarre Magazine

Congratulations to Samantha Everton who has been awarded Honourable Mention in the PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris for her series ‘Thirteen’. She has also been announced as a winner in the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize awarded third prize for her photograph ‘Suite of Desire’. The work will be exhibited in San Francisco in a new exhibition at Modern Eden Gallery titled ‘Glimmer’. Two huge achievements for Everton and her brilliant new series ‘Thirteen’ which was recently exhibited at Arthouse.

“In her new body of work, ‘THIRTEEN’, Everton creates a poetic meditation on the epidemic of excess inherited by the next generation. Surreal tableaux unfold within nostalgic domestic interiors, where children encounter worlds overflowing with spectacle – objects of desire, abundance, and unease. Beneath their visual splendour lies a deeper interrogation of inheritance: what does it mean to come of age within a culture defined by insatiable consumption?” - Elli Walsh, Artist Profile Magazine

The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize, now in its 9th year, is an annual non-acquisitive international art prize that celebrates diversity and excellence in the representational visual arts.

The "Prix de la Photographie, Paris" (PX3) strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris.
