Michaye Boulter has been awarded a prestigious solo commission from Devonport Regional Gallery in Tasmania, with the evocative and captivating exhibition ‘Atmospheres’ now open until 10 June 2024.
Featuring paintings on linen, board and steel, Boulter’s masterful works depict the vastness of landscape and oceans, and the transformative nature of place and our sense of self amongst its endless, transcendent experiences. Informed by the landscapes of Tasmania, the secluded bays and histories of places such as Bruny Island, Boulter delves further creating portals into imagined realms and the enigmas of life.

The prestigious Devonport Regional Gallery Solo Commission was established in 2005 to provide a Tasmanian artist who has demonstrated a high level of skill and innovation through their practice with the opportunity to develop a new body of work for a solo exhibition.
