Kendal Murray announced as a finalist in the Deakin Contemporary Small Sculpture Award 2024

Congratulations to Kendal Murray who has been announced as a finalist in the The Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award. 

 

Established in 2009, the award celebrates the best in contemporary sculpture in Australia. and is organised by the Art Collection and Galleries Unit at Deakin University, Victoria.

 

Kendal Murray's whimsical and dream-like sculptures recall the joyful times of youth where play, imagination and fantasy ruled the day. Each work encourages us to delve into that world once more with wondrous abandon.

 

An exhibition of the finalists will be on display at Deakin University from 29 August–11 October 2024.
